3.  Building an Endowment Base

  • By becoming self-sustaining, Deer Park can uphold its commitment to remaining free of business enterprise for acquiring resources.

  • The new facilities and improvements will draw increasing numbers of students and visitors. At the same time, the residential monastic community is likely to enlarge along with the spiritual center. As the services we offer grow, so too will our operating costs.

  • A sufficient endowment is needed to ensure financial health and stability, and underwrite our high-quality programs and services.

  • In this way, we will sustain and preserve the pure teaching tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, while furthering retreat, community outreach and cultural facilities.
